Perform Additional Quality Checks
After Isometric Processing, open the VCM in ConstructSim Planner and perform quality checks on the overall results of the workflow. As a best-practices guideline, after the Isometric Processing workflow has been set up for a project, validate that the representation of the pipe isometrics in the virtual model matches the representation on the printed isometric sheets. You cannot assume that if the data processing sections executed successfully, the data representation is valid. Open the VCM in ConstructSim Planner and perform some basic visual checks. Identify a collection of 10-20 printable pipe isometric files (typically in PDF format) that provide a good representation of the various types of isometrics included in the project. For example, the sample set might include some rack pipe, small bore, field run pipe, large bore pipe within the ISBL, etc. Walk through each of these pipe isometrics in the virtual model and compare them to the printable pipe isometrics, checking for:
